Norman's own Jeff Provine will be leading a special Downtown Norman Ghost Tour starting at the Moore-Lindsay House! Take a stroll down Main Street and see the locations of several spooky tales from Norman history, and then finish up the evening in the parlor of the historical house to refuel with snacks and share your own eerie stories with the group.
Enjoy stories telling the strange side of our city's history: The barber still working the shop despite his grisly death 85 years ago, a gangster buried near his hideout just east of town, and the monsters of Lake Thunderbird! This tour will meet at the Moore-Lindsay House at 6:30pm on Saturday, October 22. The walking tour will last about 90 minutes and covers about a mile on public sidewalks. Tickets are $20, with a portion of each ticking supporting the Moore-Lindsay House. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Masking and vaccination are recommended. There is no age limit for this event, but anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This isn't a "jump-and-scare" tour like a haunted house, nor an investigation, although guests occasionally capture an apparition in photos. All stories have been researched from interviews and public archives. |
