COVID Safety Plan

Picture
  • Guided tours will begin at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.  If you wish to schedule a private individual or small-group tour due to health concerns, please contact Amy at 405-321-0156 or mlhhmuseum@gmail.com.
  • Self-guided tours are allowed, but guests must maintain social distancing from other visitors, wear a mask, and refrain from touching anything in the museum.
  • A maximum of 10 guests will be allowed in the museum at a time.
  • Masks are required for staff and visitors per City of Norman ordinance.  Temperature checks may be requested.
  • No one with known COVID-19 exposure or symptoms may enter.
  • The museum's interactive room will remain closed.
  • Touching of anything inside the museum, with the exception of the staircase handrails, is not allowed, as museum artifacts and components of the historic building cannot be safely sanitized without harm to the objects.
  • Handrails, doorknobs, doorbell, restroom, and other objects that may have been touched by visitors will be cleaned after each visitor group.  Hand sanitizer will be available for visitor use.
  • Requests for field trips, house rentals, and birthday parties at the historic house will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Our programs are made possible in part by funding from the City of Norman, an Organizational Support Grant from the Norman Arts Council Hotel Tax Grant Program, a grant from the Norman Arts Council & the National Endowment for the Arts, and generous donations from visitors and community supporters.  We are grateful for the support.
