We are so excited to be hosting our first watercolor workshops! Local artist Maya Raza will be teaching at the Moore-Lindsay House on June 27th from 6-8pm and June 28th from 2-4pm. These workshops are perfect for all skill levels, whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist looking to refine your technique. Maya will guide participants through the basics of watercolor painting, covering essential techniques like blending, layering, and color mixing, while encouraging individual creativity. Attendees will have the opportunity to create their own unique piece of art in a supportive and relaxed environment. About the Instructor:
Maya Raza is a self-taught watercolor artist, entrepreneur, and educator whose vibrant, nature-inspired work reflects a life rich in travel and creative exploration. With a B.S. in Education from the University of Oklahoma, Maya blends her love for teaching with her artistic practice, making watercolor accessible and inspiring to artists of all levels.
Driven by a deep passion for painting and a reverence for the natural world, Maya creates intricate, emotive pieces that capture fleeting moments of beauty. Her artwork is shared weekly on social media, where she has cultivated a supportive and growing community of art lovers.
Maya is an active presence in the creative world—collaborating with fellow artists, exhibiting in galleries, participating in art festivals, and teaching watercolor classes that encourage self-expression and artistic confidence. Participants must be at least 14 years old. Supplies will be provided for use in the classroom.
