Register to Attend
We’re hosting two watercolor workshops at the Moore-Lindsay House this spring, led by talented local artist Maya Raza of Maya's Artbeat!  Perfect for all skill levels from first-time painters to experienced artists, these beginner-friendly workshops will cover essential watercolor techniques such as blending, layering, and color mixing.
  • Friday, August 14, 6-8pm
  • Saturday, August 15, 2–4pm
Both sessions will create the same project, so choose the date that works best for you, or sign up for both classes to get extra practice!  Maya will guide you step-by-step while encouraging your individual creativity, and you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art you’ve created in a relaxed, supportive environment.
  • Ages 14+
  • All materials and tools will be provided for classroom use.
  • Space is limited; advance registration is required for all attendees. Due to space constraints, only registered participants may attend (no observers).

About the Instructor:

Picture
Maya Raza is a self-taught watercolor artist, entrepreneur, and educator whose vibrant, nature-inspired work reflects a life rich in travel and creative exploration. With a B.S. in Education from the University of Oklahoma, Maya blends her love for teaching with her artistic practice, making watercolor accessible and inspiring to artists of all levels.

Driven by a deep passion for painting and a reverence for the natural world, Maya creates intricate, emotive pieces that capture fleeting moments of beauty. Her artwork is shared weekly on social media, where she has cultivated a supportive and growing community of art lovers.

Maya is an active presence in the creative world—collaborating with fellow artists, exhibiting in galleries, participating in art festivals, and teaching watercolor classes that encourage self-expression and artistic confidence. Her paintings can also be seen at Will Rogers World Airport, where they welcome and inspire travelers from around the globe.
