Do you have a photo, document, or object that you believe would make a good addition to the Moore-Lindsay House collection? We are happy to accept donated items from the community, however, because we are limited in both storage and resources, we cannot accept every item. We want to properly care for all the items given to the museum, and we may have to deny a donation if we feel that we are not properly suited to care for the item. We can only accept items that are approved by the Museum Manager and/or Board of Directors and fit within our Collections Policy. This means items to be donated must be from Cleveland County, and furnishings for the house must be from the 1850-1920 time frame. We do accept items of significance to Cleveland County history from outside of this time range.
If you have an item or group of items you wish to donate, please complete the artifact donation form below, or download the application and email it along with photos of the item to [email protected]. For groups of items, one form can be completed for the entire group if they are similar items and originate from the same time period, such as a group of photographs or several pieces of 1910s clothing and accessories. If the objects are largely varied in type or time period, such as a 1890s dress and a 1920s yearbook, please complete separate applications for these items.
Please do not drop off items unattended or mail them to the museum, unless otherwise directed by museum staff.
