Field Trips
Field trips are available for groups of 10-20 students. The standard field trip lasts two hours and includes a scavenger hunt, a lesson on Norman history, and pioneer games. Other topics can be presented upon request. Field trips are free for schools, homeschool groups, and non-profits. Public Camps and Workshops
Museum camps and workshops are offered throughout the year. Public classes are posted on the museum’s website and Facebook page and feature topics chosen by staff to cater to the interest of visitors. These classes require registration and usually have a fee of $8 per person. |
Private Workshops
Private groups are welcome to contact the museum to schedule classes and workshops that suit their needs. Workshops are designed for 6-16 participants. Private workshops can cover any of the same topics as public workshops, or groups may wish to request their own topic. These workshops are available free of charge* to education groups and non-profits. *The Pioneer Cooking workshop has a fee of $8 per student to cover the cost of supplies. Off-Site Presentations
Can’t make it to the museum? Let us come to you! Many of the topics covered in the public and private workshops can also be covered in off-site presentations, and staff can bring artifacts, crafts, and games to you. If you can provide a location with a wall or screen to project onto, we can also present a virtual guided tour of the museum. Contact museum staff for more information about this program. |
