The MLHHM is available for children’s birthday parties, and we provide a Birthday Party Package for those wishing to host a Victorian Tea Party for their child’s birthday.
The Birthday Party Package includes:
  • A two-hour party, with an additional hour in the Carriage House before and after the party for set-up and clean-up
  • Use of the Carriage House (meeting space with kitchenette and bathroom) for the tea party
  • Use of MLHHM tea party china
  • Parlor games and/or scavenger hunt in the Historical House led by museum staff (approximately 30-45 minutes of party time)
  • Use of the Formal Parlor in the Historical House for opening gifts (seating on the floor or in folding chairs)

Birthday parties can only be scheduled on Saturdays between 11am and 4pm.  Please contact the museum to check availability of specific dates and times.

Parties are limited to 12 tea party participants, with 20 total attendees.  It is recommended that tea party participants be at least 6 years old.  There must be at least 2-4 adults in attendance; museum staff is not available to supervise children, so please plan accordingly.  Due to space constraints, maximum attendance numbers are not flexible.

The cost of a Birthday Party Package is $150, with an additional $50 refundable cleaning deposit.

For more information, or to begin the process of booking a birthday party, please contact the Moore-Lindsay Historical House Museum at 405-321-0156 or [email protected].

Birthday Party Reviews:

"I was excited to hear that the Moore-Lindsay House offered tea party birthday parties for kids!  I mentioned it to my daughter and she wanted a Tea Party there for her 7th birthday!  It was absolutely fabulous, with tea and snacks in the carriage house, a scavenger hunt and dress-up in the museum, and parlor games and pictures on the lawn!  I really couldn't wish for a more unique and memorable birthday party!"  ~Staci Koutsoukos

"My daughter, Joy, had her 6th birthday at the Moore-Lindsay Historical House Museum! Let me tell you— it was an AMAZING experience! Amy was so helpful and friendly while assisting with the party. The tea party was perfect in the carriage house, with beautiful tea sets provided. The girls loved the scavenger hunt in the historical house, and opening gifts in the formal parlor was absolutely picturesque! It was such a fun and memorable party venue that I highly recommend!! Any little girl would dream to have a tea party here!"  ~Tiffany Lee
